The only possible challenger to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 was Due Date, which performed strongly to leave the rest of the top ten behind on $2.67 million. Potter was still enormous on $6.72 million. Of the other new releases, Fair Game arguably under-performed on 138 screens, only making $587,000, while The Last Exorcism wasn’t far behind.

It was a quiet week across Australia but Jackass 3D stayed on top in its second week over The Social Network. New apocalyptic release Skyline overtook Red for third place but the latter still holds strong in its third week of release.
