The Academy Awards has long been Hollywood’s night of nights, where the superstars both on screen and behind are awarded with the highest accolades in their field. For a prestigious occasion such as the Oscars, you have to dress for it, of course!! So as well as our wrap of the awards ceremony itself that you can see here, we have the all-important special feature on the Oscars red carpet. I will take you through ten of the best and ten of the worst dressed as voted upon by me, so as I said for the Golden Globes, be prepared for a totally biased opinion based on what I liked or loathed!!

I’m a huge fan of tapas. You know, the brilliant little titbits of all sorts of yummy goodness, authentically Spanish or otherwise? Fun to share, fun to eat, and if you stumble upon one you’re not so crash hot on, don’t worry – in a bite or two it will all be over and you can move onto the next one!
The biggest names in Hollywood have taken to the red carpet to celebrate the great films of the last year at the 81st Academy Awards. As promised this year, a marring of sophistication and simplicity helped reinvigorate the Awards after a bout of disappointing viewer ratings over the past few years. A singing and dancing Hugh Jackman oozed charm and confidence as the ceremony’s host, dispelling concerns that he would not suit the role that comedians usually undertook.
This week, I take a look at the newest style of movie trailers taking the internet community by storm. These are the trailers that never specifically reference the film they are advertising. The trailers that can go for minutes long, without ever showing footage from the film being advertised. The trailers that are part of an extensive campaign that aims to blend an alternate reality into the real-world, so much so that it becomes hard to distinguish between what’s real and what isn’t.
It’s that time of year where Adelaide truly comes to life. The humbled streets of our city are fiercely awoken and a vibrant energy settles in for the coming months, colouring our days and lighting up our nights in a way that we almost become our very own city-that-never-sleeps – almost. Still, it’s around this time I start to believe that Adelaide really isn’t too bad after all, and that there is a legitimate reason we’re often referred to (most commonly by ourselves) as the City of Festivals.
