What little there is concerns nice-guy Clay (Jared Padalecki), who is searching the Crystal Lake area for his missing sister (from the opening sequence).  He crosses paths with Trent (Travis Van Winkle), an unsympathetic jock spending the weekend with his girlfriend Jenna (Danielle Panabaker) and five other blatantly stereotyped friends at his parent’s lakeside cabin. Aside from the narcissistic jock, there’s the token black guy (Arlen Escarpeta), the blonde bimbos (Julianna Guill and Walla Ford), and the Asian nerd (Aaron Yoo). It’s hardly a surprising line-up considering the film is produce by none other than Michael Bay, the man criticised for the illiterate, smack-talking robotic twins Skids and Mudflap in Transformers 2. Sure, it could've been downplayed a bit; certainly trimmed in terms of running time, and a slightly meatier plot could've benefited the audience, but we pay to see explosions from Michael Bay don't we? While I would have rated it a bit higher, reviews serve as a form of opinion. They don't have to be to everyone's tastes - otherwise our job would be pointless!<br><br>In a way our review is a reflection that suggests audiences should be able to expect greatness for films with high expectations that we pay for. It was always going to make huge b/o profits, but they can't just churn out a film and expect everyone to like it. We aren't the only place with an average rating unfortunately... picked up my weekend paper to see their thoughts on it as even worse. Guess that's the good thing about this film though, it's really sparking a bit of debate! It was an awesome movie with most of the storyline played out in the first movie and just the pure enjoyment of the transformers themselves the stars of this movie.
