You'd have to go back to the 1950s to see that. Born in the sixties, I've never seen a contemporary Australian film that didn't depict the colonial era as grim, depraved and utterly awful. <br>This was yet another teedious, humourless exercise in the cringe completely lacking in irony or depth.
