The story of the movie is good, and it is different from the normal Hollywood attempts. The cast worked genuine and I enjoyed the film.

It’s a great movie, and I say that with full confidence. I don’t know why some people have not liked it all. I find it funny and touching at the same time. Havent you guys noticed the brilliant acting in it? Some top critics dint like it and I was shocked by it. Maybe they would like the shitty Stars Wars or some other thing. This should have been a hit for sure. Sigh Sigh.

At its heart, its an introspective film with lot of textures to it. You need time to notice the subtle metaphors mentioned in it. I saw it some time back and truly loved it. The actors were spot and so was the music and the direction. It really rocked and we need more movies like this.

The film is located at the transition between old and new Britain, when austerity was giving way to affluence, ties of class and upbringing being superseded by those based around taste and consumption patterns. Carl (Tom Sturridge) is expelled from his public school and sent, for reasons that become gradually more mysterious, to spend time with his godfather Quentin (Bill Nighy) who runs a station, Radio Rock, that plays pop and soul tunes around the clock.
